His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Her Excellency Amparo López Senovilla, Secretary of State for Trade at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of the Spain, co-chaired the Trade and Investment Cooperation Session held as part of the Second Qatari-Spanish Strategic Dialogue. The session was conducted via videoconference, with the participation of several department directors and representatives of government entities and economic and investment institutions from both countries.

الدوحة في 25 فبراير /قنا/ ترأس سعادة الدكتور أحمد بن محمد السيد وزير الدولة لشؤون التجارة الخارجية بوزارة التجارة والصناعة، وسعادة السيدة أمبارو سينوفيلا وزير الدولة للتجارة بوزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة والأعمال في مملكة إسبانيا، أعمال جلسة التعاون في مجالي التجارة والاستثمار ضمن فعاليات الحوار الاستراتيجي القطري - الإسباني الثاني، التي عقدت عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي، بمشاركة عدد من مديري الإدارات وممثلي الجهات الحكومية والمؤسسات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية في البلدين.


وأكد سعادة وزير الدولة لشؤون التجارة الخارجية، خلال كلمته الافتتاحية في جلسة الحوار الاستراتيجي القطري - الإسباني، أن الحوار يمثل منصة محورية لدفع العلاقات الاقتصادية بين دولة قطر وإسبانيا نحو آفاق أوسع، وتحويل التفاهم المشترك إلى شراكات اقتصادية عملية تدعم النمو المستدام في البلدين.


وأشار سعادته إلى التطور الإيجابي الذي شهدته العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية خلال السنوات الأخيرة، والذي انعكس في تحسن حجم التبادل التجاري، بما يؤسس لمرحلة جديدة من التعاون الاقتصادي المثمر بين الجانبين.


وشدد سعادته على حرص دولة قطر على تعزيز بيئة استثمارية جاذبة ومستقرة، مؤكدا أهمية استكمال إجراءات توقيع اتفاقية تشجيع وحماية الاستثمارات المتبادلة، كما أعرب عن تطلع دولة قطر إلى تأسيس مجلس أعمال قطري - إسباني مشترك لتعزيز التعاون بين مجتمعي الأعمال في البلدين.


وناقشت الجلسة عددا من الموضوعات ذات الأولوية، شملت فرص الاستثمار والتجارة المتاحة لقطاع الأعمال في البلدين، ومستجدات اتفاقيات التعاون بين الجانبين، إلى جانب استعراض البيئة الاستثمارية في دولة قطر والفرص المتوفرة في السوق الإسبانية، وبحث آليات تمويل التجارة والمشاريع، وتعزيز التواصل بين مجتمعي الأعمال.


واستعرض المشاركون واقع الاستثمارات المتبادلة، بما في ذلك تنامي الحضور الإسباني في السوق القطرية، والاستثمارات القطرية في مملكة إسبانيا، إضافة إلى تسليط الضوء على الفرص والحوافز التي توفرها المناطق الحرة في دولة قطر.


وتطرقت الجلسة كذلك إلى سبل تعزيز الربط الاستراتيجي بين البلدين، خاصة في مجالات النقل الجوي وخدمات الطيران والخدمات اللوجستية، فضلا عن فرص التعاون في الزراعة المستدامة والتكنولوجيا الزراعية وتعزيز مرونة سلاسل الإمداد الغذائي.


واختتمت الجلسة بالتأكيد على التزام الجانبين بمواصلة العمل المشترك لتعزيز الشراكة الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية، ودفع التعاون الثنائي نحو آفاق أوسع بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الصديقين.


Doha, February 25 (QNA) – His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Her Excellency Amparo López Senovilla, Secretary of State for Trade at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business of the Spain, co-chaired the Trade and Investment Cooperation Session held as part of the Second Qatari-Spanish Strategic Dialogue. The session was conducted via videoconference, with the participation of several department directors and representatives of government entities and economic and investment institutions from both countries.


In his opening remarks during the Qatari-Spanish Strategic Dialogue session, His Excellency the Minister of State for Foreign Trade affirmed that the dialogue represents a key platform for advancing economic relations between the Qatar and Spain toward broader horizons, and for translating mutual understanding into practical economic partnerships that support sustainable growth in both countries.


His Excellency highlighted the positive development witnessed in trade and investment relations in recent years, reflected in the improvement of trade exchange volume, paving the way for a new phase of fruitful economic cooperation between the two sides.


He stressed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening an attractive and stable investment environment, underscoring the importance of completing the procedures for signing an agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments. He also expressed Qatar’s aspiration to establish a joint Qatari-Spanish Business Council to enhance cooperation between the business communities of both countries.


The session discussed a number of priority topics, including available trade and investment opportunities for the private sector in both countries, updates on bilateral cooperation agreements, a review of the investment environment in Qatar and opportunities in the Spanish market, mechanisms for financing trade and projects, and enhancing communication between the two business communities.


Participants reviewed the status of mutual investments, including the growing Spanish presence in the Qatari market and Qatari investments in Spain, in addition to highlighting the opportunities and incentives offered by Qatar’s free zones.


The session also addressed ways to strengthen strategic connectivity between the two countries, particularly in the fields of air transport, aviation services, and logistics services, as well as opportunities for cooperation in sustainable agriculture, agricultural technology, and enhancing the resilience of food supply chains.


The session concluded with an affirmation of both sides’ commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen economic, trade, and investment partnerships and to advancing bilateral cooperation to broader horizons in the mutual interest of the two friendly countries.
