واشنطن في 15 أبريل /قنا/ شارك سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري، وزير المالية في جلسة "حديث المحافظين: تحويل الصدمات إلى استراتيجية: السياسة المالية والنمو طويل الأجل في قطر"، وذلك ضمن أعمال اجتماعات الربيع لصندوق النقد الدولي ومجموعة البنك الدولي في مدينة واشنطن بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.


وخلال الجلسة، استعرض سعادة وزير المالية تقييم دولة قطر لتداعيات الصراع الإقليمي على اقتصادها، مؤكدا أن قطر تدخل هذه المرحلة من موقع قوة بفضل متانة الإدارة الاقتصادية والاحتياطيات السيادية وبرنامج الإصلاحات ضمن استراتيجية التنمية الوطنية الثالثة، مشيرا إلى أن التطورات الإقليمية الأخيرة انعكست على التوقعات الاقتصادية قصيرة الأجل، الأمر الذي استدعى استجابة حكومية متكاملة.


وفي سياق كلمته، أكد سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري أن دولة قطر تدعو إلى خفض التصعيد وتغليب الحلول السلمية والحوار في التعامل مع الأوضاع الراهنة، مشدداً على أهمية الحفاظ على انسيابية طرق التجارة وأمن الطاقة على المستوى العالمي، مجددا التأكيد على التزام دولة قطر باستقرار أسواق الطاقة والوفاء بالالتزامات الدولية، ومواصلة ترسيخ مكانتها كشريك اقتصادي عالمي موثوق ومستقر.


وأضاف سعادته: "تتعامل دولة قطر مع التحديات الراهنة من خلال حزمة متكاملة من السياسات والإجراءات، تشمل تعزيز الاستقرار المالي، ودعم متانة النظام المالي، وضمان استمرارية الإنتاج، وترسيخ القدرة الوطنية على الصمود، بما يعكس نهجًا استباقيًا قائمًا على أسس اقتصادية قوية".


واختتم سعادته بالتأكيد على أن السياسة المالية في دولة قطر توازن بين متطلبات الاستقرار قصير الأجل والاستدامة طويلة الأجل، وفق مبادئ الحوكمة الرشيدة والشفافية، وإعادة ترتيب أولويات الإنفاق بما يعزز الاستقرار المالي ويدعم النمو المستدام.

During the session, HE the Minister of Finance presented Qatar's assessment of the impact of the regional conflict on its economy, affirming that Qatar is entering this phase from a position of strength, supported by robust macroeconomic management, strong sovereign reserves, and an ongoing reform program under the Third National Development Strategy. He noted that recent regional developments have affected short-term economic projections, necessitating a comprehensive government response.


In his remarks, HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari stressed that the State of Qatar calls for de-escalation, prioritizing peaceful solutions and dialogue in addressing current developments. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the smooth flow of global trade routes and energy security. Furthermore, he reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to the stability of energy markets, fulfillment of international obligations, and its role as a reliable and stable global economic partner.


His Excellency said: "The State of Qatar is addressing current challenges through an integrated package of policies and measures, including strengthening fiscal stability, reinforcing the resilience of the financial system, ensuring continuity of production, and consolidating national capacity to withstand shocks, reflecting a proactive approach grounded in strong economic fundamentals."


His Excellency concluded by emphasizing that Qatar's fiscal policy strikes a balance between short-term stability and long-term sustainability, in accordance with the principles of good governance and transparency, and through the re-prioritization of expenditure to enhance fiscal stability and support sustainable growth.
