الهيئة العامة للضرائب تنظم ورشة للتعريف بآلية تطبيق الضريبة الانتقائية على المشروبات المحلاة

The General Tax Authority (GTA) organized a workshop for companies titled "Implementation of Excise Tax under the Tiered Volumetric Model."

The workshop is part of a series of awareness workshops conducted in preparation for the implementation of the Excise Tax on Sweetened Drinks, effective July 6, 2026.

الدوحة في 17 يونيو /قنا/ نظمت الهيئة العامة للضرائب، اليوم، ورشة عمل مخصصة للشركات بعنوان "تطبيق الضريبة الانتقائية وفقًا للنموذج الحجمي المتدرج"، وذلك ضمن سلسلة من الورش التوعوية التي تنفذها الهيئة استعدادًا لبدء تطبيق الضريبة الانتقائية على المشروبات المحلاة اعتبارًا من 6 يوليو 2026.


وأوضحت الهيئة في بيان، أن الورشة تأتي ضمن جهودها المستمرة لتعزيز الوعي الضريبي ورفع مستوى جاهزية الشركات من خلال التعريف بالمتطلبات والإجراءات ذات الصلة وتوضيح آليات الامتثال للأنظمة الضريبية المعمول بها، لافتة إلى استعراض محاورها الرئيسية النموذج الحجمي المتدرج للمشروبات المحلاة، بما في ذلك آلية تطبيق الضريبة الانتقائية، وإجراءات تسجيل الشركات والسلع الخاضعة للضريبة، والفئات الملزمة بسدادها، إلى جانب متطلبات تسجيل السلع والبيانات اللازمة لاستكمال الإجراءات، والأحكام الانتقالية المرتبطة بتطبيق النظام الجديد.


كما شهدت الورشة جلسة نقاشية تفاعلية، تم خلالها الإجابة عن استفسارات ممثلي الشركات ومناقشة مختلف الجوانب التنظيمية والتطبيقية المتعلقة بالضريبة الانتقائية، بما يسهم في رفع مستوى الوعي بالمتطلبات التنظيمية وآليات الامتثال الضريبي.


وتنفذ الهيئة العامة للضرائب هذه الورشة ضمن سلسلة من المبادرات التوعوية بهدف رفع مستوى الوعي بالأنظمة الضريبية وتعريف الشركات بآلية تطبيق الضريبة الانتقائية على المشروبات المحلاة، بما يدعم الامتثال الضريبي ويعزز الشفافية والوضوح لدى المكلفين.


Doha, June 17 (QNA) - The General Tax Authority (GTA) organized a workshop for companies titled "Implementation of Excise Tax under the Tiered Volumetric Model." 

The workshop is part of a series of awareness workshops conducted in preparation for the implementation of the Excise Tax on Sweetened Drinks, effective July 6, 2026. 


In a statement on Wednesday, the GTA said that the workshop forms part of its ongoing efforts to enhance tax awareness and improve companies' readiness by introducing the relevant requirements and procedures, while clarifying compliance mechanisms under the applicable tax regulations.


It added that the workshop covered the key components of the Tiered Volumetric Model for Sweetened Drinks, including the Excise Tax implementation mechanism, procedures for registering companies and taxable goods, entities obligated to pay the tax, product registration requirements and the data needed to complete the registration process, as well as the transitional provisions associated with the implementation of the new system.


The workshop also featured an interactive discussion session during which participants' questions were addressed, and various regulatory and practical aspects of Excise Tax implementation were discussed, contributing to greater awareness of regulatory requirements and tax compliance mechanisms.


This workshop is part of a broader series of awareness initiatives organized by the GTA to increase understanding of tax regulations and familiarize companies with the implementation mechanism for Excise Tax on Sweetened Drinks, thereby supporting tax compliance and promoting transparency and clarity among taxpayers.
