قطر للطاقة تستحوذ على حصة في منطقة استكشاف بحرية قبالة سواحل ناميبيا

QatarEnergy has entered into an agreement with Harmattan Energy Limited (HEL), an indirect subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, to acquire a working interest in the Petroleum Exploration License and Petroleum Agreement for Block 2813B (PEL0090), offshore Namibia.

قطر للطاقة تستحوذ على حصة في منطقة استكشاف بحرية قبالة سواحل ناميبيا

الدوحة في 15 ديسمبر /قنا/ وقعت "قطر للطاقة" اتفاقية مع شركة "هارماتان للطاقة المحدودة HEL"، وهي إحدى الشركات التابعة بشكل غير مباشر لشركة شيفرون.، تستحوذ بموجبها على حصة من رخصة التنقيب عن البترول واتفاقية البترول المتعلقة بالمنطقة البحرية 2813B (PEL0090) الواقعة قبالة سواحل جمهورية ناميبيا.


وبموجب الاتفاقية، تحصل قطر للطاقة على حصة تبلغ 27.5%، بينما ستحتفظ شركة هارماتان بحصة 52.5%، بينما تبقى حصة الشركاء الآخرين في المنطقة، شركة تراغو للطاقة المحدودة وشركة البترول الوطنية الناميبية "نامكور"، 10% لكل منهما.


وقال سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريدة الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للطاقة: "إن الاتفاقية توضح التزامنا بمواصلة توسيع رقعة تواجدنا في قطاع التنقيب والاستكشاف في ناميبيا، وبتعزيز شراكتنا مع شريكتنا شيفرون".


وأضاف سعادته: "نتطلع إلى البدء قريبا في حفر أول بئر استكشافية في هذه المنطقة، خاصة في أعقاب عمليات الحفر الناجحة في مناطقنا الأخرى في ناميبيا".


تقع المنطقة 2813B (PEL0090) على بعد حوالي 200 كيلومتر قبالة سواحل ناميبيا وحوالي 70 كيلومترا شمال منطقة فينوس، التي حققت قطر للطاقة اكتشافا فيها.


وتبلغ مساحة منطقة الرخصة 5,433 كيلومترا مربعا، وتتراوح أعماقها بين 2,400 و3,300 متر.


Doha, December 15 (QNA) - QatarEnergy has entered into an agreement with Harmattan Energy Limited (HEL), an indirect subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, to acquire a working interest in the Petroleum Exploration License and Petroleum Agreement for Block 2813B (PEL0090), offshore Namibia.


Pursuant to the agreement, QatarEnergy will acquire a 27.5% interest, while HEL (the operator) will retain a 52.50% interest. The other partners on the block are Trago Energy Limited and the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), each holding a 10% interest.


Commenting on this occasion, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi said: "This agreement demonstrates our commitment to continue expanding our upstream footprint in Namibia, and the strengthening of our partnership with our valued partner Chevron." "Following successful drilling operations in our other acreage in Namibia, we look forward to soon begin drilling the first exploration well on this block," HE Minister Al Kaabi added.


Block 2813B (PEL0090) lies about 200 kilometers offshore Namibia and approximately 70 kilometers north of QatarEnergys Venus discovery. The License covers an area of 5,433 km, in water depth of 2,400 to 3,300 meters. (QNA)
